Suggest me the best AI Prompts for Writing Viral LinkedIn Posts

Hey everyone, I just joined this forum and honestly I am already glad I did because I have been struggling with something for a while now and I feel like this is the right place to ask.

So I have been trying to grow my LinkedIn presence for the past four months. I post regularly, maybe three to four times a week, but the results are honestly disappointing. Most of my posts get somewhere between 5 and 15 impressions. Occasionally one does okay but I have no idea why that one worked and the others did not.

I think the problem is my content. It either sounds too formal and boring or too generic like something anyone could have written. I know LinkedIn rewards content that feels personal and valuable but every time I sit down to write I end up with something that reads like a press release nobody asked for.

I have started using ChatGPT to help but the prompts I am using are too basic. Something like "write a LinkedIn post about productivity" and the output is exactly as generic as you would expect. I know the problem is my prompt but I genuinely do not know how to make it better.

So my question is: what are the best AI prompts you use specifically for writing LinkedIn posts that actually get engagement? Hook lines, storytelling prompts, anything that helps the post feel human and interesting rather than robotic and forgettable.

If you have a prompt that consistently works for you on LinkedIn I would really appreciate you sharing it here. Even a rough version of what you type would help me more than any tutorial I have found so far.

It works well for me because the post created with this prompt feels structured and easy to read. I still add my own thoughts and experiences, but this prompt helps me write faster and gets better engagement.

The "write a LinkedIn post about productivity" prompt is exactly why most AI-generated LinkedIn content performs badly. Too broad, no angle, no story, no reason for anyone to care.

The prompt I use consistently:

"Write a LinkedIn post about [topic] from the perspective of someone who got this completely wrong at first. Start with the mistake, not the lesson. Keep it under 150 words. No motivational language."

The reason it works is simple. Failure stories get comments. Advice posts get likes but comments are what actually push LinkedIn reach. First time I used this my impressions went from double digits to over 800 on one post. Same topic, completely different angle.
